I can’t believe this book was such a hidden gem. It is one of the most gorgeously written and poignant pieces I have read maybe ever. The subject matter is also unlike anything I’ve read which makes it hard to put into words but it has stuck with me and moved me. Loney’s relationship and introspection regarding his childhood friend who passed was a beautiful love letter and cry to the void. I believe this will go down in one of my favorite books I’ve ever read. What I also took away from this memoir is not strictly to cherish life in an optimistic way but to simply feel and observe and care.
