the way i loved this book, like it's actually not funny. i am a hopeless romantic 100%. i eat up the cute little moments. this book was everything to me. i loved the plot, the characters; EVERYTHING.
i loved how Alex's story was told. I loved the character development. I loved the small, cute, fluffy moments Molly and Alex would have. I loved the plot/trope. I loved the slow burn. i loved this book so much, like actually.
one thing about me is, when i read, i paint a movie in my mind. i feel like i just watched the most cutest and funniest story ever, it's so crazy what your imagination can do.
anyway, if you're a teen or just someone who loves all the cheesy romance books without the spice (tho it had very suggestive moments but only 3 times) I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK

That being said â I wish it dug just a bitdeeper than it did.
Itâs not until almost halfway through the book that we really learn anything deep about Molly (other than that sheâs extremely shy & socially anxious); but some hard information about Alex was given very early in the story. Honestly, I feel like this book wouldâve been 5 stars if it were all told from Alexâs POV (and maybe a surprise chapter or two from Mollyâs) because thatâs pretty much how it felt like we were getting information â learning about Molly as Alex did. So it wouldnât have felt as lopsided for me.
Also - sticking to the âthis shouldâve just been Alex POV - we get to see her life and the hardships she deals with more than Molly. Even after learning what Molly has dealt with, itâs pretty short, while Alexâs continue through the story.
Finally, I wish the pining started earlier. They both write each other off pretty early. I know they are both focused on their perspective partners â but I mean, come on, at least make it seem like they are initially physically attracted to one another??
All in all - this was a cute, fun book. I get why people really enjoy it - and I did - I just wanted a bit more detail to enjoy.

Told in dual perspectives, both of Mollyâs and Alexâs issues are dealt with by the narrative while still maintaining a lighter tone.
Overall, just a really a cute romance to curl up with on a rainy day.
