Fire — really speaks to me because of how logical I am. Anyone who likes to understand the historical facts about Jesus and let that build on your faith in Him should give this a read. It’s about a 2.5 hour audiobook.

I’m all about apologetics so don’t mind literally all the books I’m finishing

An excellent resource. My only issue is the assertion that the Bible teaches, or that Jesus taught the doctrine of the Trinity, which is untrue. While Jesus fulfills the role of the Son of God, he is the fulness of God, also fulfilling the role of Father and the Holy Spirit, as well.

such a good read. 10/10. logical, to the point but not dry and boring. easy to follow and get caught in the story. i couldn’t put it down despite it being heavy on the information side which normally take me longer to get through. will be coming back to this one

I was going on a retreat with church and what better way to connect better with God than read about the evidence one man found on his own journey.

Lee Strobel interviews multiple scholars and religious experts to find the evidence supporting and surrounding all the claims of Christ’s life, death and resurrection.

It ended with a summary of what Strobel felt was the most important points covered on each aspect of his interviews, all the burning questions and answers put in more simpler terms in case you didn’t get the point the first time.

I would recommend it to anyone searching for God or wanting to learn more about their own religious experience and feel confirmed in their beliefs.

from proving the historical accuracy of Jesus’ existence, death, and resurrection to detailing the love he has for us, this is a book for any and all skeptics to read. i would also recommend it for those who are believers, so that when asked to defend the faith, you answer not only with the experiential- life changing truth of christianity, but with the definitive proof of Jesus’ living and purpose on earth.

if you doubt the existence, death, and/or resurrection or have been told that they are not true, i encourage you to read this book. history doesn’t change based on what you believe; Jesus walked the earth, died on the cross, and rose again so that he would pay the price for our sins- the righteous for the unrighteous

A.mě.to.štve.

This book sets the stage for those who are interested in pursuing the evidence for Christ and Christianity. I will not say it covers all the basis of skepticism. That would be impossible. Also, I will say my opinion is biased being a Christian and seeing what Jesus does in my own life every day. I desire to believe what Lee is telling me; therefore, I will most likely not bring up all the reasonable objections which could be found when reading this book. Even with my bias, I could spot some holes which makes me want to delve deeper and find more evidence of Christ, his death, and resurrection. Not because I don't believe but because my belief leads me to desire and seek after the truth. So often believing in Christ puts you under criticism and I want the ability to defend my faith. This was a good beginning of a search which will doubtless last a lifetime.

If you are a Christian you will doubtless like this book and enjoy hearing from those who have studied and deal with arguments on a daily basis. Those who have degrees which many consider of great importance to present ideas in a well-informed manner. You will enjoy hearing the evidence and perhaps for the first time understanding there is actual evidence for the Christian belief. It will be an experience you will not regret. On the other hand, if you are not a Christian your experience will be quite different. You may be open to hearing the evidence which is presented or you may not. You could completely disregard any evidence presented or desire to learn more about what is presented. Either way, it is an interesting read which allows you to understand the debate further and knowledge of this topic.

I believe that unless a person is ready and willing to see Jesus he or she can come up with objections to any evidence presented. Accordingly, your state of mind and being will influence how you interpret this book. This, in my opinion, is why we see the huge variance in how people rate this book. It is based on what they wish to believe rather than the actual evidence presented. From my point of view as stated before it was an interesting read which will lead me down the path to discovering more evidence for Christ.
