I’m not sure how to review this novel. The edition I read had extra information, which was interesting. I really know nothing about fishing, so maybe now I know a bit more.

It was okay, I wasn’t thoroughly impressed but it was interesting to read something different I wouldn’t read it again tho.

Such a slow burn. It is simplistic and tells the story of an old fisherman's journey out onto the sea. It was too short for what it was trying to do.

I love spending time on the ocean.  I loved how this book fires up my imagination and perfectly describes the beauty of the sea, through the eyes of someone who has lived his whole life there

An interesting, ponderous reflection on man's relationship with the sea. To be honest I kind of just read this to say I've read Hemingway 😭 but overall I enjoyed it and found it quite captivating. Would recommend for a brief read.
