So….. where do I even start… I laughed, I fangirled, I screamed, I damn near threw my iPad. Very mixed emotions going into this. However, the smut was pretty good. I don’t think I could get into CNC, however 🤷🏾‍♀️. This made me not so scared to want to read romances from male authors 😅❤️

I was so ready to love this book. I did love some parts, but I was very distracted by some of the things missed in the editing process. But that's not why I gave this book 3.75 stars. When I read books, I expect to be immersed in the story. Even if I don't have anything in common with the main character(s), I still expect to be emotionally moved by them or what's happening as the plot and characters develop. While I don't think this book is poorly written by any means, I do feel like that it lacked something to connect to. This is a romance, but I'm not buying that they're in love. They're having great sex and that's about all I got out of their relationship.
Them getting back together didn't even make sense. He had gone on this whole tangent about trust while he was secretly breaking her trust the whole time, and she quickly accepts him back because he wrote that he loved her while he was fucking up, so that made it okay. And it was conveniently skipped over that her friends who were previously worried about him suddenly accepted that they were back together; no problems, no conflict, no hesitation. Or if it was there, we didn't get to see it. Just a suddenly HEA that didn’t quite make sense.
