Two new league employees travel to Mystic Bayou and find love and trouble. This story will at turns leave you howling with laughter and sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. A fantastic addition to the series.

Sometimes you just have to catch up on a series and binge listen while baking christmas cookies, wrapping gifts, and playing Santa! I have been a fan of Molly Harper for years and her Mystic Bayou is my absolute fav of all her series! I mean what’s not to love about a romance with mystery elements featuring shapeshifters and magic users in a small town in the middle of nowhere in the Bayou! As over the top as it sounds, this series is so fun with a rich cast of characters (the mayor is my favorite) and dialogue that will have you laughing out loud. Awkwardly. Sometimes in public! Basically your family will look at you strangely but they love you anyway so just ignore them.

Of the 3 titles I binge listened to, this was my favorite of the 3. I loved Brendan's dry whit and pragmatic approach to Cordelia's psychic gift and past. I was dying laughing at the guys adopting Brendon into their circle and his ensuing hangover. Basically this is a must LISTEN. Yep the narration is half the fun! Jonathan Davis and Amanda Ronconi own this book and make it twice as fun! Just take my word for this, if you read you will lose half the experience!

This was a great end to the series but I do wish it wasn’t the end. I have to look at more Molly Harper.

Cute Romance, enjoyable quick listen.
Wish the male narrator had a better irish accent. Cringed at how he said "Smithwicks"

Always Be My Banshee
4 Stars

In the aftermath of discovering the ancient artifact in the rift, touch psychic Cordelia Canton joins forces with Brendan O'Connor, a rare male banshee, to uncover the secrets of the artifact and the reasons for its dangerous effects on the local population.

Cordelia and Brendan's romance is really sweet. As a touch psychic and a banshee who can see deaths of others, Cordelia and Brendan's abilities have resulted in a solitary and lonely existence for them both. This makes the fact that they have found each other even more delightful.

The town of Mystic Bayou and its quirky residents are the true highlights of this series. The couples from the previous books all join in the fun as the mystery surrounding the rift and the artifact is resolved. As with the previous books, there is a malevolent force working for the mysterious group within the league, and the identity of the culprit is actually quite a surprise.

Although the ongoing arc comes to a close, there is a new twist at the end and it will be interesting to see where Harper takes her characters next.
