The beginning dragged a bit, but once it picked up around the halfway point I literally could not put it down. I was carrying my copy around from room to room, unable to take my eyes off the page. Such an exhilarating read with a very interesting cast of characters.

Writing—does its job. 
Plot/characters—riveting plot and I enjoyed the characters. They were fleshed out well w good and bad traits. Even when I didn’t agree with their decisions, I liked Lisbeth, B, and Henrik. 
Profundity—I need to think on this more. But it addresses treatment of women and mental illness and journalistic ethics so profound issues are addressed.

The mystery in this book didn't pull me in like I hoped it would. The writing style wasn't for me either - it felt like big parts filled with exposition followed by big parts filled with dialogue and it never felt cohesive. Not to mention the typical male protagonist written by a man who every woman can't help but want to sleep with.
