Enjoyable read with engaging, flawed, lovable characters. Some plot points are a little too poetic for my taste, and the magical bits feel out of place, even if they are true to the beliefs of the characters. Overall a quite enjoyable, if at time wrenching read.

This book is what I think of as great literature, what it means to be human in all its fantastic messiness. Life is so complicated and changing yet, somehow stays the same I suppose because humans are humans, flawed, yet seeking something better or to be better. I loved this book and know it will haunt me for a long time. Worth every minute, not to be rushed but savored.
