I hated reading this book, I felt so out of place and left behind and hurt. And that's what made this book so great. It puts you in Kate's place and its not a good one. Beautifully crafted.

Meh, it explains why Kate has a favor from Saimon. Good candidate for short story - including it to the main story would have slowed it down.
