A stirring account of events before, during, and after January 6th, 2021.

To echo the sentiments of many, I disagree with Liz on numerous policy issues. I do admire her courage and integrity. She chose country over party and law over man

Well written but despite the truth and integrity to be found in this book, I fear things will not turn out well

I’ve been reflecting a lot as I listened to this. What resonated with me most is that there are things bigger than policy where you can - and must - unite with people you disagree with, and that you can respect people despite not agreeing with them. I respect the hell out of Liz Cheney and her defence of democratic norms.

A must read in this election year

Glad I listened to the audiobook, there were many audio clips included that enhanced the message of the book!

“It is up to each one of us to take seriously our obligation to safeguard the miracle of American freedom. We must abide by our duty to the constitution and demand that our political leaders do the same. Politicians who minimize the threat, repeat the lies, or enable the liar are not fit for office. Most importantly, we cannot make the grave mistake of returning Donald Trump, the man who caused January 6th, to the White House, or to any position of public trust, ever again.”

A book about true patriotism, honoring the constitution; a book that EVERY American should read.

This is a must read. Liz sacrificed her safety and political office to speak truth to power and corruption. Her voice needs to be heard regardless of your political affiliation. It is rare to see this level of political courage.
