Excellent audiobook experience. Liz Cheney reads her book and sprinkles in audio from January 6th and testimony to the committee. I found the clips of the PA announcements within the Capitol on the day of the insurrection to be the most chilling.

While I can’t imagine ever agreeing with Liz Cheney about policies, she certainly has my gratitude for standing up for our Constitution when it counted. What truly terrified me, though, was listening to her mention how other Republicans would privately praise her for her stance, but had no backbone to stand with her. These asides were mentioned several times as she continued her work on the January 6th Committee.

If you watched the January 6th Hearings, don’t expect any big reveals here. You will get a clearer picture of how hard everyone worked to find out what exactly happened that day, along with Liz Cheney’s perspective on the day and the aftermath. Given how highly Cheney praises Cassidy Hutchinson, I may need to listen to her book Enough.

Very good but too stressful to be listening to days before this election!!
informative medium-paced

The audio version of this book is very impactful as it includes excerpts from the chamber on January 6. I appreciated this take because we got so few perspectives from Rs in Congress about this event.

In light of the 2024 elections coming up at the end of this year, this book is a reminder of crucial values of America and the need to uphold those values as American people. This book isn’t necessarily anti-Trump but anti-totalitarianism, and a good reminder that those in power need to be held accountable.
