This book felt very childish from the get go. The prologue is Penny’s past experience with Chase in middle school where she overheard him compare her to his dog. I understand that shit will leave a lasting impression on you, BUT fast forward ten or so years and she’s still holding onto this grudge.

Not to mention, Chase is still calling her by the awful nickname, “Blister”. It’s like both of them are continuing to live in the past when they are now adults.

It was hard to want them to be together because they just never seemed to grow up, or want to for that matter. From the point where they realized they were stuck in the cabin together, Chase starts making her work for food & clothes.. only to find out he liked her this whole time?? What a weird thing to do to “help” someone you like.

Cute. A bit unbelievable, but still cute.

This novella was so adorable and I absolutely loved it. The banter, forced proximity, slight enemies to lovers, THE KISSES, the snuggles—utter perfection. Highly recommend the audiobook! I will definitely be listening to this one every year.

Loved it! I fully plan to reread it around Christmas when I’m sitting by the fireplace and surrounded by snow. It was such a cute story!

Cute, short, Hallmark-like read. Deducted a star because of the nickname he kept using for her, “Blister.”

This was an absolutely fun snowed in, forced proximity holiday romance between former high school enemies. Throw in some secret crush action and best friend's sister dynamics and it was a super sweet, closed door love story with tons of chemistry. Great on audio too narrated by Stefanie Kay!

cute holiday romance

Just when I had given up on holiday reads, this one grabbed my heart strings. A fun, enemies to lovers romp in the snow. Cheesy, i know, but it was cute. That sometimes what you think you hate the most is what you really want the most. It was a slow burn romance, with just enough tension to melt butter.
