Sort of like doing a drive-by slumming it. There was not as much uniting motifs or thematic symbolic content as I would have liked.

I listened to the audiobook. Dark Places is an accurate title because this book gets DARK but it is SO good! Absolute thriller and keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat until the very end. Some parts were hard to get through with how dark and demented it gets but it’s crucial detail to the storyline and adds to the thrill.
