Een leuke bundel aan korte verhalen. Tsjok vol van de kleine dingen die een verhaal zo tastbaar kunnen maken. De verhalen varieren wel in kwaliteit; sommige zijn leuk, helder en indrukwekkend, andere zijn iets te generaliserend, en vol van zichzelf. Een prima boek om de tijd mee te doden van een toonaangevende schrijver in zijn genre.
(Overigens erg heteronormatief en male gazed).

Just cemented my view that Murakami is a hit-or-miss / love-hate relationship kind of author. Sometimes he works, sometimes he doesn’t. A lot of what he says, I find that it resonates with me. But I didn’t quite come away with a sense of satisfaction at the end with this one and that disappointed me.
