The Julian Chapter

R.J. Palacio

4.11 AVERAGE

I'm not sure I buy either the reasons for Julian's behavior in Wonder, as explained in this book, or the swiftness and extent of his transformation in this book, but it is a good story.

This is a must read part of Wonder. I was just as moved by this as I was by Wonder. Choose kind!

La verdad es que me ha gustado la resolución de la historia más de lo que esperaba ya que nunca me fue agradable este personaje

It's short and simple, but nice to get the background and point of view of the bully.

El relato de la abuela me destrozó.

Loved it—after reading Wonder novel and White Bird graphic novel.

What it's about: Julian's perspective on his behavior. Wonder was such an amazing book and this did not disappoint.

Why I read it: I really enjoyed Wonder. The author did a fantastic job of digging into the mind of a young school bully.

I read [book:Wonder|11387515] two years ago so I don't remember any of the details of Julian's behavior and actions towards Auggie. There were many references to what Julian did but no background explanation, so this story would be best read soon after finishing Wonder.

I really can't get past Julian's mother's actions so the way everything wrapped up so smoothly is too much of a stretch for me. Overall, I don't think this story was a valuable addition.
