This collection of essays on the topic of worldbuilding was good, and even though it mostly focused on worldbuilding for RPGs, a majority of the tips and tricks can be utilized when creating for novels as well. I can also say that this was a fairly quick read, which also means that it is not a massive how to on creating your own world. There were a few tips I found to be interesting and helpful, and I'm hoping my fantasy world becomes richer because of these guidebooks.

Some really great and interesting essays on developing worlds for novels, games, or any fantasy setting. Some essays were kinda repetitive but others pulled back the curtain on the writing process and proved to be quite insightful. I’ll definitely be reading the other books in this series.

Somewhat interesting worldbuilding guide from various designers in the D&D/Pathfinder-adjacent scene. Full review: https://refereeingandreflection.wordpress.com/2014/02/15/referees-bookshelf-kobold-guides-to-game-design-and-worldbuilding/

This is an excellent primer for both fantasy gamemasters and writers.
The examples are mostly related to gaming worlds of a particular era but should be usable with little effort.

This is a really interesting collection of essays about worldbuilding. Although it is mostly focused on tabletop rpgs, I think writers can learn a lot from reading it as well.

Some of the essays were much better quality than the others, and I did find myself wishing there was a little more cohesion in the way the essays were put together.

Nonetheless, I definitely recommend reading it if you're interested at all in worldbuilding.

This was much less book than I was expecting for $20 when I ordered it from Amazon. It is, however, a dense book full of useful information for gamemasters or storytellers looking for advice on how to build a setting from scratch. I do feel my $20 was actually quite well spent.
