It was perfect read. I loved the concept of Beck already being in love with Margo and going to such drastic measures to have her. The love at first sight was a great addition too. The story didn’t feel as if it dragged on or anything, every chapter was a delight to read. I had to read slowly since I wanted to savor the book. The little knickknacks of romance were just the best without being cringeworthy. I feel like the author wrote a masterpiece. It’s my first book by her, I’m sold and I can’t wait to read more.

i loved this! at first, i was a little confused since the book starts off literally with the plot and we didn’t get much context beforehand but after awhile i just started enjoying the book because of the characters and the ~tension~
you’d get why there was barely any context in the beginning and it all makes sense later on which to be honest, i love that we get the context later in the book.
this man has been PINING for her since the beginning, my guy did everything and anything to get to her in the end, love that for him.
hella impressed with margo’s self-control, i would’ve jumped on beck’s bones if he even spared a glance in my direction <3
also, that 5 chapters straight of smut? i have never felt as deprived as i do now.

.
It took me a while to get into this for real, but here I am, reluctantly finishing it because I refuse to DNF books this year and decided to give this a shot.
Let's start with the good stuff.
1. Obviously, the first cover appeals to me.
2. A few chapters that were somewhat catchy (but nothing compared to the author's previous two books)
What I didn't like;
1. That heroine is just plain stupid. It irritates me.
2. I dislike the hero, though not as much as I dislike the heroine.
3. There is absolutely no chemistry.
Overall, this was not the case. This makes me sad because I really enjoyed Founded on Deception.

From start to finish this book was engaging as hell. The plot is simple and one that we’ve read so many times, but what made it special were the characters, the banter, the tension (!!!!), BECK.
The way Beck loves, oh the way he LOVES. It is desperate, so desperate. She is his light, his moon, his stars, his universe and there is nobody else in the world like her. Her worships the ground she walks on and he would do anything to have a second of her attention. But he isn’t smothering, it isn’t suffocating; it’s possessive, deep and pure.
Nothing I say will do this book justice. Nothing at all. I stayed up late to finish it and I absolutely regretted nothing. This is my first introduction to the author and certainly will not be my last.
