This book has, rightfully, been compared to Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren, which is another book I really liked. There were parts of this book that I liked better, but also parts that didn’t work as well for me and I’m still reeling from the ending. But I did stay up until 1:30 in the morning to finish it, so it was very engaging.

Enjoyed every minute of this!! The plot was wholesome, had me feeling giddy and excited about the couple, and I felt like this was slightlyy less predictable than most rom books which kept me hooked.

Immediately starting one golden summer now!

I’d give Every Summer After 3.5 stars. The flashbacks were easily my favorite part, but the ending felt rushed—we waited almost the whole book to learn what Percy did, only for it to be tied up in just a few pages. While it was a quick read that made me laugh out loud at times, I couldn’t bring myself to really like the FMC. Honestly, half the time I was just wondering what on earth was wrong with Percy.
