Isolation, survival, and psychological introspection with a touch of existential dread from a woman in the sixties. It was a bit too much at times, but so is life.

I wish I would have read this on a porch in the middle of Austria where it takes place. The way everything is described is so beautiful. It’s a really meditative book, but don’t read it if you are looking for literally any plot/ answers. This book is 100% just the thoughts and actions of one person alone, not much happens but a lot happens. Ya feel?
reflective slow-paced

i don’t know how to talk about this one yet, but i’ll be thinking about it for a long time. so glad this book exists.

Unintentionally read two stories about a woman/girl surviving alone with only animals as company surrounded by lush nature in a row. Loved this for its solitude, commentary on womanhood, and deep reflection.
