Still processing this. A devastating book and the most moved I’ve felt by anything I’ve read in a long time. I think if you are a glass half-full type of person you might be tempted to read it as hopeful, but I felt quite wrung-out and emotional by the end. I feel I will be thinking about it for a while yet. While ‘enjoyed’ might be the wrong word, I found this story to be very powerful and (I think) I’m glad I read it.
