I loved the Italian family, but the lying was unnecessary.

Overall, this was an ok romcom. It doesn't stand out as particularly noteworthy for me, but I enjoyed it and it was a nice light break after a heavier novel.

I loved the premise: Coming across a place her mother had been and a secret gelato recipe.

The added layer of why she was in New York adds a realness to the story.

I enjoyed the Italian-American family, all the sisters, and the family business.

I didn’t love the secrets. She lied by omission and after their first meeting, it became deceptive.

Overall, a fun read.

Gio Belotti is an absolute king. Iris…that’s another story. The writing was beautiful, as Josie Silver always does, but I wish the sub-plot(s) were left out. More Gio and Iris, less everything else.
