I'm considering claiming that Brandon Sanderson's biggest strength is independent short stories and novellas, but then I remember The Way of Kings.

Önnur góð saga eftir Sanderson. Áhugaverður fantasíu heimur og skemmtilegar sögupersónur sem þurfa að takast á við ýmsar áskoranir. Hluti af sögusafni um “hættulegar konur”. Mæli með!
Cool little story set in Sanderson's Cosmere. Wow, so much I don't get.
A bit off theme on the surface, a bit on theme deeper.
This novella was written for a Dangerous Women themed anthology, and as Sanderson says in the preface, he didn't want to make it just been a tough woman in the historically role of men. I never really felt that she was all that dangerous, other than in the sense that a trapped rat attacks.
It's a good book with the protagonist and her daughter being realistic. But the story is pretty typical, none of the Sanderson surprises or twists were there, just a typical tough woman doing tough things.
You can easily finish this in one sitting, so I recommend this to all Brandon Sanderson fans. As for other people, you may want to pass on it. Sixth at Dusk is a much better Sanderson novella
