Who gave Oseman the audacity to write something this friggin cute?!?! Who?!?! Tell me who?!?!? Because I will personally find a way to fund this woman's career so she can keep writing wonderful amazing stories like this! This story got more cute and adorable compared to the first volume and that's because Oseman has written something that's queer, soft, and hopefully optimistic.

Charlie and Nick are incredibly sympathetic towards each other. Nick understands Charlie had to suffer through intense bullying because someone outted him as gay at their all boys school. Nick understands that another boy at their school treated Charlie as a secret while also being with a girl. Nick is incredibly conscience about all of these traumas that Charlie has suffered but takes the time to apologize furiously because he doesn't want to add to that trauma despite him figuring himself out and wanting to be on the DL with Charlie until he knows how to navigate the discovery of his bisexuality. In turn Charlie understands what it feels like to be outted, or for people to run with the narrative of your life without your permission, so he gives Nick the space and time to try and figure out his sexuality on his own time. The idea that Oseman reinforces in this volume, that being out is great, but being out on your own terms is even more valuable is wonderful and amazing. Also, Nellie, like love Nick's doggo. Love love love her! I just love how these two boys compliment one another and inherently make each other better with each passing day.

This is what young love should be. Uncomplicated attraction that adds to the overall experience of life. Oseman, you are a genius and I can't wait to finish this wonderful story with two characters I care genuinely about. Awesome book. Recommend to everyone!
