What a sweet book. It's about two sisters, second-generation Vietnamese immigrants, and it's set in a town I love, Ann Arbor. More than that, though, it made me think a lot about what it means to be a descendant of recent immigrants and the myriad ways one tries to fit in--or not.

My gripes about the book are some easy resolutions and too much showing, not telling. However, that wouldn't dissuade me from recommending it.

In my opinion it was so boring, and didn't even fully get my full attention. I read just the first page but I couldn't read any more because the book didn't interest or sound very interesting in the first page and the summary about it sounded uninteresting. It feels as if their should be more explanation than just nothing unless this is a series and their is a book before it.
