One Night with a Billionaire is book six in the Billionaire Boys Club series. I've been naughty and haven't read these in order at all so I can firmly say these can be read as standalone novels. I had to grab this while I was at a local signing though since it's about a billionaire hottie and a plus sized make up artist!

Kylie is a plus sized makeup artist on the hunt for a new job. When she lands one with a pop star named Daphne she's excited to go back on tour so she can support her Grandmother and pay the bills. The pop star doesn't make life easy on her though, she's a junkie and dubs her fat Marilyn and the name sticks throughout the story unfortunately. We quickly enter the romance aspect when sparks fly between Kylie and Cade Archer (aka billionaire hottie) while he's waiting backstage at one of the concerts to see his childhood friend Daphne. Things don't go quite as planned for Cade and he winds up seeing Daphne's true colors so he's set on moving on and his strong attraction to Kylie makes up his mind. Their long distance romance blossoms via texts and the occasional night together while Kylie is moving from city to city while on tour. But don't you know Daphne will throw a fit of epic proportion when she finds out.

One Night With a Billionaire was a we shouldn't be together but I can't help liking you type read. I typically enjoy that trope, but this one did have a few issues for me. One of the main one issues was the leading lady being so insecure about her size. I personally wouldn't be so worried about my thighs and such around a guy that is clearly attracted to me. That probably varies from person to person though so it's not a huge deal. There were also a few inconsistencies I noticed that made me double back and make sure I read it correctly. All in all though this was a nice escape from reality. If you enjoy Contemporary Romance with billionaires I think you'd enjoy this book.

Kylie has worked to support her career as a makeup artist. She has taken a few hits along the way but with a grandmother suffering from dementia to provide for she always tries to land on her feet. When her newest job has her doing the makeup for a pop star idol Daphne she is excited about going on tour with her, that is until she meets the drugged out twig who goes from being enjoyable to malicious at the drop of a hat.

Cade has been in love with Daphne for years, he is always by her side when she falls but after so many years with the same merry go round, Cade is beginning to realize it will never stop. When he sees Daphne again he knows it is over and his interest is caught by her makeup artist Kylie. In need of a friend he finds himself being consoled by Kylie and feelings he has never experienced before begin to erupt. Could Cade fall for Kylie, absolutely but the feisty woman keeps trying to push him away.

Fantastic story. Kylie is like a fifties pinup but she just sees herself as ho hum while Cade sees her as va va voom. Kylie had an verbally abusive grandmother who has made her feel less worthy as others, this is one obstacle where Cade is concerned. The other though is Daphne, Daphne believes Cade is hers and will stop anyone in her path to Cade. Had a couple of surprises in the story that will entertain readers.

The whole series is amazing though as for now this book I liked the least. I don't know what it is about billionaire-boy-gets-married kinda books that really pull me.

Should it be ONE billionaire...
Let him be Cade.
OMG.No words.
SO SO SO GOOD.
SO SO SO DIRTY.
SO SO SO SWEET.
Love this series so much! And here I thought I was done with billionaires tropes! Ah!

Kylie may be a makeup artist to the stars, but she knows what it feels like to be overshadowed. Especially by her famous boss, the pop star Daphne. That’s why she’s stunned—and delighted—when one night at a party, she attracts the attention of a gorgeous stranger. But when Daphne decides she wants the handsome billionaire for herself, Cade Archer is suddenly off-limits for Kylie…

Cade has known Daphne for years, and always wondered if she might be the right woman for him—even though she never gave him the time of day. But one sizzling night with Kylie has changed everything. So why is she suddenly avoiding him? Fortunately Cade is determined to get what he wants, and he’ll do anything to show Kylie she can get everything she wants too…

I honestly loved Cade! I think he might be my favorite of the billionaires!

It was great that he got his HEA and that he was able to move past Daphne. And I loved that he tried so hard not to be in the I-have-money-so-I-can-get-whatever-I-want. At least until Kylie and he decided that it was time to stop playing nice (and honestly, I kind of loved that whole blackmail portion of things...) I also loved the fact that while he realized that his future no longer lay with Daphne, he still clearly cared about her and wanted to make sure she was taken care of. I loved the fact that he turned around and ditched Mr.Powers, the slimey git. I did love the way he realized he cared for Kylie and why. I really loved the fact that when he realized a little more about why Kylie was doing the things she did and trying to run, he did what he could to make her feel comfortable. He was more than willing to let her pay her way if that's what she needed to do, as long as it meant she stopped running.

I loved Kylie too, but I honestly got really frustrated with her. Like, yes, she owned the fact that she wasn't a size 4 but at the same time, she also fatshamed herself sooo much. I got tired of it. And she wasn't fat! Hell, she was a size 18 (she said so herself) and that's not fat!!! Granted, she had experiences that dropped her self-confidence, so I could maybe understand her wanting to hide, but why did she have to continually go on with the "I don't want to be the fat chick stuffing my face" crap? And again, I can understand her experiences leading her down paths, but I hated the way she never wanted to let anyone consider helping her because then she'd be beholden to them. Like really? Seriously?! Especially after things with Cade happened, how could she think that he'd go down that path? But she actually got a marching band out of it this time, so that's something.

I absolutely despised Daphne. The previous times she'd showed up, I'd kind of felt bad-ish, but at the same time, I thought she was just a spoiled brat. This time though, the spoiled brat really came to the forefront and I just despised her up until the very end. I hated the fact that she chose to not remember people's names and stuck with the horrible nicknames. And then even after Cade told her he was there as a friend, she got pissy when it was found out that he was supposedly seeing someone else. And got extremely violent when things were fully revealed. I did like the reality check she got there at the end. Great way to bring that about...hopefully she really sticks with it this time. Although the fact that Cade's got majority shares should help.

The label and Mr.Powers were just money grabbing assholes. I hated the fact that they tried to blame Kylie because Daphne was being a bitch. They definitely didn't help Daphne's well-being either. And some of the tour employees too...Ginger made me want to slap her. All of the tour employees did honestly. They all knew there was something wrong but because they were out of the job, it was easy to blame Kylie for Daphne's bratty attitude.

Definitely a good cap to the series. The last one was "meh" for me, and Griffin's book drove me insane, but this was good. For me, the series peaked at book 3, followed by 2 (they're both so very good, even with opposite heroes), then this book, then 1, 5, and 4.
