this novella was also a lot of spice but it also had a way cute story
A Festive Feud is a great book to get you in the holiday spirit. The author created a compelling narrative of forgiveness and going for what you want even if others will judge you for it. The tension between Emma and Jackson developed from hate to love in an eloquent manner.
The character development was spot on, not only for our MCs but also for the corresponding families. I thought that the pace of the storytelling was perfect. This book had the right amount of spiciness and holiday spirit. You will read this book and be left with a sense of happiness and completion at the end.

A public fight causes them to plan the town Christmas party
Emma and Jackson’s families hate each other and when they both get into trouble, they must come together to plan a Christmas party for their town. I will say you will enjoy their interactions and their fights, especially the one that sets off the storyline. I love that as they start planning together, they start to be themselves. Jackson starts to bring out a side of Emma that no one very gets to see and Emma does the same for Jackson. Also, let’s not forget the chemistry and the smut because wow. I really loved this book and Jackson and Emma.

I love a good forbidden romance, and this book delivers exactly what I signed up for: two people who absolutely should not be falling for each other... doing exactly that.
Set in a small town where grudges are apparently inherited like family recipes, this story follows two people caught between loyalty and chemistry. The family rivalry is just the right amount of over-the-top, and watching the main characters try (and fail) to stay away from each other was half the fun.
And the best part? No unnecessary third-act breakup. No "we can't be together because (stupid) reasons" drama thrown in just to stall the happy ending. Instead, we get mature communication, growth, and two people choosing each other despite the noise around them. Revolutionary.
It's fast-paced, fun to read, and full of that cozy, slightly chaotic holiday energy. If you like your romances with heat, heart, and a little hometown drama, this one’s worth picking up.

HEA? yes
3rd act break-up? no

I am not one to usually rave about novella’s, I mostly find them enjoyable but not amazing. Somehow Maren Moore made this one of the best novella’s I have ever read. I think it was a little bit of a longer novella, but I still wanted more only because it was so good, I could have read this book forever.
This was such a classic holiday enemies to lovers story. It had lots of holiday feels. Jackson & Emma come from feuding families so naturally they hate each other too. They get themselves into quite a predicament over a nutcracker and are now forced to combine their family holiday parties into one party for the entire time.
They expect it to be difficult and to have lots of fights while planning. What they don’t expect is the chemistry between them and then once they act on it, they don’t expect the way they feel with the other person.
Can a Christmas miracle reunite these feuding families and give this couple a chance at forever?

Emma and Jackson pull off a really good show.
I don't remember having this much fun with a 'silly' Christmas romance in a while : They're both incredible adorable, hot and witty. They matched so damn well !
I very much enjoyed following them around planning their doomed Christmas party, while they also couldn't stay away from one another. Jackson is exactly the kind of man a women dreams about - pet-friendly, sturdy built and absolutely devoted to you. I loved how he pined after her and put her before any of his wants or needs : a man obsessed with you is the only acceptable minimum.
A recommendation for sure !

My favorite quote: “Saint Nick help me, but I am. Apparently, my vagina is a ho ho ho for this man, which is very, very problematic.”
Quickly and spicy little holiday novella and I loved every single bit of it! I especially enjoyed revisiting this little town for another Christmas time love story❄️
