Smalltown Feuds
Gotta love when a feud begins between two families and then the children get pulled into it. They grow up hating each other out of principle, not because the other person is not a good person. Well, it all comes to a head in this book, over the annual Christmas parties that the two families throw. One minor (okay, $10,000) mishap, and the newest generation must work together to throw ONE party for the whole town, instead of the separate parties that have happened in the past. Of course, if anyone has ever read a book of this type, we all know that the two who have been thrown together are going to do more than just party planning. They discover who they are outside the views of their families (who have never gotten to actually know each other). A cute Christmas story where the families are thrown together and, amid the season of giving, finally talk out their issues.

This was a super cute holiday novella that resembles Romeo and Juliet, but without the dying. But really, our FMC & MMC have been feuding their entire lives. This story gives force proximity, and spicy scenes wrapped in warm holiday vibes. Such a fun little read to get you in the spirit. Thank you to Maren & Team for allowing me the opportunity to read this one.
(One note, if spit during “play time” isn’t your thing, be forewarned, mmkay?)

I’m going to preface this review saying I did not read the first book in this series. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I liked the enemies to lovers trope going on here, but I felt like the spice happened way too quickly. I’m not sure if it would have made more sense had I read the first book, but the characters moved way too fast to seem realistic. Overall, I liked the story and the level of spicy it entailed, just a little face paced for me.

I liked the plot. It was kinda cheesy all around but fit with the holiday season.
