It had a nice mix of predictability and yet still unexpected twists and turns. I struggled in the beginning with the modern day storyline, but eventually enjoyed the modern story as much as the historical one. Did it get a bit too fantastical? Maybe just a touch. But I am here for it.

This is one of those books I wish I could read again just to enjoy the surprises.

Started strong and descriptive, bringing you into the story, but weakened as it went on.

I was not a big fan of the majority of this book. Weirdly enough, I really enjoyed the last third and how emotional the ending was.
