This is one of those books you always hear about. I read it many years back - end of primary school or maybe start of high school - but I don't think I fully appreciated it back then. It's a little terrifying how much the governence of Animal Farm still mirrors modern politics, and not in the original Russian Revolution framework this was based on.

4.25 stars, to be precise. It's a short story, but it's rich with plot and symbolism. A classic one must read, for sure!

A classic everyone should read. A 1945 published book about politics, yet so relevant.

What a clever way of addressing politics in a satirical way with animals. The kind of book you read more than once because of how layered the themes are.

How ironic that the same thing the animals hated in their master is what they became.
