I enjoyed the first part more, this book suffered from some weird pacing and repetiveness. The middle parts felt like I was reading the same scenes over and over again. It wasn't until like the last 15% the story picked up. I really want to love this trilogy, but I think I'll struggle to pick up the last one.

”A woman with a warrior’s heart shouldn’t fear the truth. No weapon in the world is stronger than the truth.”

5 stars. Tamras and Maara are together and I could seriously not be happier. I wanted this from book one and the way it all unfolded here was absolutely worth it and so, so beautiful. I am in love with those two and their chemistry is amazing. Maara is such a complex person and she’s closed off so whenever we would get those moments of her opening up to Tamras was so good and kept me hooked. These books are so addicting and while I am excited to finish the trilogy I’m also sad that I’m now on the last book. I’m excited to see how everything wraps up though.
