I loved this book! I love her sass lol. I think she's a Leo 'cause she's always talking about how amazing she is 🤣😅. I mean, she's brilliant,cunning, a bad ass female pirate, the pirate king's daughter, and half Siren! Total win-win, lol.
I liked her parents' backstory. Not your typical prince-mermaid love story 🫢🫣🤣
Pretended to be captive to get a map from Draxen's and Riden's ship for his father but didn't want to admit that she was falling for Riden!
I can't wait to read the next book and hopefully learn more about her crew!

i can definitely tell that i wont remember this book & the storyline FOREVER buttt i want to read the second book.
DNFed because 40% in and I’m so freaking bored. Theres little to no worldbuilding and the FMC just talks about how great she is all the time all while sounding like a child. Also thr insta attraction felt very forced and I was not buying the romance (which is the main focus of the book).

It’s a fun concept for sure, but some of it is a little too ridiculous for me. Like I know being captured by a handsome dude and then falling for him because he ends up not being so bad is a book trope, but it feels very much like the author forced it to happen instead of it making sense that it happened. And I know the MFC is complicated for understandable reasons, but she makes me roll my eyes sometimes.
"I know what Riden wants in life. Love and acceptance. I weave those into the song and command him to sleep and forget that he ever heard me sing".
Don't we all want love and acceptance in life?!

I loved this book a lot, I can't express how much I enjoyed my time reading this book. As if i was on the ship sailing with the characters, and living the sea adventures with them.
The writing was very smooth and easy for the eyes, I would have finished it in one sitting if I wasn't busy with family events and other stuff.
The characters are very funny, witty, and loveable, even the evil ones, you can't help yourself not to fall in love with them.
I loved the chemistry and harmony between Alosa and Riden, and their sense of humour which suited them both perfectly.
Now, I really can't wait for the second book to come out next year so I can know what will happen next.
If you are into, pirates, stealing, sea sirens, adventures, maps and things alike, then this book is for you :)

Really enjoyed this. I put off reading it for like 5 years but it was great. Adventurous & exciting. Quite dramatic and lots of murder and fighting but I liked the pirate vibes.
