Second book of the “Boys of Avix” series featuring Mason and Payton. As a follow up to “Say You Swear” I feel like it falls a bit short but it wasn’t “bad”

Going between 3 & 4 ⭐️ on this one

I loved the first book so much and usually I'm a sucker for dual timelines, but this one got a little bit confusing at times (especially when stopping and coming back to it even for just a few minutes)

Loved the MMC but the MFC running all the time got old and annoying. And not sure how but at some points the book felt like it dragged and then other parts felt like it should have expanded. The first

Just painful to read really

the amount of running away Payton did lol

the time jumps were so frustrating but it was worth the wait. give Mase the most patient man award!!

and Cameron’s book is next?!!

Say you swear went from a 3⭐️ to a  5⭐️ based on the last 150-200 pages. This one didn’t really hit like that one. I feel like this could have easily been 200 pages vs almost 400. I want to read book three so I’m hoping she will redeem herself with it. I don’t get the whole reason chase was even apart of the love triangle and it just seems like that’s all she wants to write with seeming the beginning of book three too.

This is Mason and Payton’s story (mixed with Chase and I guess Deaton as well) which was confusing because it would go back and forth between Father Deaton and Child Deaton.

I was expecting the conclusion to be a bigger wow factor than it actually was (easily guessable from the very beginning)

The spicy scenes weren’t even necessary.
