Mason was just as sweet as I thought he would be. I didn’t love that it took the entirety of the book for them to finally get together. It just kind of felt like the conflict was drawn out when it didn’t need to be. Why did Payton literally run away from Mason so many times instead of talking to him about her concerns? It drove me crazy.

I wanted to like this book because of how much I enjoyed reading SYS but Payton not wanting to communicate with Mason for majority of the book was driving me up the wall 😩

my most disappointing read of the year so far. this was so dragged out. so boring. so much of this could have been fixed with a simple conversation. like i get it grief is grief but this was too much.

i hated the style, why are we jumping back and forth. should have just started from the beginning. it was confusing and the last 40ish pages were just stupid and so sexually smutty for no fucking reason considering NON of the rest was. you immediately lost me in the end.

i had my hopes far too high for this considering the impact noah and ari story had. but this was just such a letdown
