I disliked it from the start and couldn’t see it getting any better. It just wasn’t for me.

Good

Thos has steam, drama, humor, and great banter! I loved it. The couple was fun and I loved the epilogue. I will be reading more.

Normally, I can get through a book, even if it’s cringy and corny. This book was the first book that gave me an absolutely uncomfortable ick. The female protagonist was an absolute pushover and the male sex interest was so cringingly pushy and demanding, it wasn’t even sexy in the slightest. CNF at like 30%.

I gave this book a fair try by getting over halfway into it, and I just couldn’t do it any more.

When I read a romance, I want to at least like the main couple and root for them to be together — and that wasn’t the case with this book at all. I was especially not a fan of how the MMC was acting up until the point I read, and the drama (relationship, secondary plot) was starting to get old.

That being said, I do like one of the secondary characters and maybe one day I’ll try a different book in this series.
