This is the first book I've read by this author, and I just don't understand the hype. Maybe I picked poorly? I just didn't see anything special about this book. You don't feel overly connected to any of the characters because you follow so many, and there really isn't a plot twist that wasn't heavily foreshadowed.

Somewhere in the 3-range.

The first half of this book I kept wondering where the hell this was going. There were also a lot of characters and it took effort to get my heads around all of them and their stories/backstories.

If this wasn’t a John Marrs book, and I hadn’t used an audible credit to buy it
