Pretty decent show continuity comic, if you remember that it was written before the big reveals about both Bill's reason for being with Sookie, and about Sookie's parents deaths.

The dialogue in this was beyond terrible. If I wasn't as obsessed with True Blood as I am this would be a complete joke.

Decent filler. A shame monster or something comes to Merlotte's and Bill, Eric, Sookie, Jason, Tara, Sam, and LaFayette all have flashback vignettes of something they were ashamed by.

File this one under "don't bother."

The arc and characterization doesn't really fall clearly anywhere in the Sookie Stackhouse realm, and it ultimately comes off as a place to give exposure to afterthough backstories. Things that could have been included as fodder in the original novels (and maybe should have been) come out here and the effect is "Oh, I wish that had been in the original story!"

I'll probably still read the second one, because of the whole Sookie-devotion thing, but if you haven't already invested the time, skip this one.

Based on the TV show not the books and a bit cheesy

I really enjoyed the story as a cute side-romp through the TV True Blood universe. The art style ranged from good to meh, depending on the artist.
