I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was not at all what I expected from Christie, having read her Poirot detective stories and a few stand alones. I didn't know what to expect when I started reading this book but I was instantly hooked by the first page. The mystery part of the story doesn't really begin until more than halfway through the book, but that doesn't take away from the importance of the backstory that we are given of the main character. I really loved that Christie took the time to flesh out her story by giving us an intricately woven story that over looks nothing. We get an in-depth but beautifully crafted story where at one point even I believed multiple characters to committed the crime. By the end of the book I didn't know what to feel, but it was mostly shock and amazement. Christie really knows how to write an amazing suspense book!
mysterious fast-paced

muito show o plot, por mais que um tico esperado

gostei por não ser terror, apenas suspense

Not my favorite Agatha Christie mystery, but it was alright.

I didn’t see the twist at the end coming at all!
Always a good read when you don’t know what’s going to happen next. I can see why it’s one of Agatha Christie’s personal favorites of novels she has written.
