This is a dark, more mysterious Christie. Slightly creepy, even.

My first Agatha Christie read! I saw the Hayley Mills (😍) movie as a teenager and loved it. I'd forgotten the twist until it came back to me 50 pages into the book. Doh! It's not revealed until the last 15 pages of the book!

If I didn’t already know the ending, so could enjoy all the little tip offs and clues along the way, this would probably have been a bit of a long read to get through.
I will admit though, this is one of the instances when I think the book was actually better than the adaptation. I enjoyed Santonix’s character much more than I did in the film, as well as Ellie. You actually get to see she is a capable legitimate business woman and not just some pretty blonde airhead that’s rich with daddy’s money.
