Rereading HP for the first time after 8 years , and oh my, that was really sad. I don't remember feeling this bad reading it. Excellent writing and plot , really appreciate every single conversation. This is the first book of Harry Potter series to feel like an adult novel. It's the start of a dark time indeed and is perfectly placed in the middle as 4th out of 7.

This is probably the book that made excited to read the rest of the instalments. It actually shows that Harry Potter is starting to be more well written and not just famous for the good movie portrayals.
I will say that this is the first book-that in my opinion shows some character development in Harry's role.
