I devoured this book. The Hunger Games, but with magic AND multiple perspectives. I really enjoyed it except Briony is one of the most obnoxious characters I have ever read about. Her, the cliffhanger, and the many questions I have about the magic system prevent this book from being 5 stars. Still would recommend though

All of Us Villains is a book about the offspring of powerful families being forced to compete in a battle of high magic that will have only one winner and the rest of them dead.

The story is pretty interesting, with the families and their champions being introduced one by one just before the competition. And all of them seemed interesting enough to root for them, tragic and villainous at the same time.

However, halfway through, things started dragging. Twists were repeated, and I was just screaming at them to actually get it over with, as everything that happened just didn't offer anything to the plot's progress more or less. There were some twists that were eye-rolling tropey. In addition, the characters talked about being villains, but didn't really act or think like villains, not even morally grey characters.

Another thing that bothered me was Isobel. She just felt inconsistent as a character and it was hard to be convinced of how everyone saw her as the princess of the press and all. Not to mention that the romance was instant and unnecessary. Finally, the magic system wasn't well explained or presented, which was a pity, as it seemed interesting enough.
