Some have called Stine Stephen King for kids. The difference is, all of Stine's are taken from classical horror/spooky tales, etc. whereas King creates his own scenarios (for the most part)

Right, so I read these a long time ago (at least more than 10 years ago), so the ratings might be a little off or very sentimental, but I still look back and remember how much I loved this series. I highly recommend it (especially for younger audiences) if you're into a little spook.

Truly terrible writing, but hey, millions of young readers can't be wrong. On a par with Christopher Pike, I'd say. Also, pretty good considering they take the author about 8 days to write.

The Goosebumps books make for an interesting case study into popular juvenile fiction.

I was expecting this to be funnier, though.

Currently rereading my original Goosebumps collection

I was really engossed in the mystery of this book until the ending, which was was so over the top and obscure that the entire plot beforehand made no sense whatsoever. Disappointed in this one.

Listened to this on audiobook with my son. The story is pretty great. It's a typical scary camp story.I remember I owned this one as a kid, but couldn't remember how it ended. Of course, there's a crazy twist ending. I just love these books !

This was my favorite one so far while rereading them. It was actually a pretty good "scary" story.

This lost some stars for that *eye roll* of an ending
