I managed to read the 617 pages all within a week. I somehow couldn't stop reading once I started. The way the book was written grabbed my attention the most, I can't explain how. And the story was good as well.
I didn't think it was possible for the movie to be worst than the book... but it was.

The first of King's works that made me cry. The relationship between the main characters is the best part of the book.
Started out really well, as always King kills it when it comes to writing friend groups, young kids or grown adults, it doesn't matter. Herein lies the problem for me with this book: he breaks up the friend group not even half way through the book, until we're only gonna follow one guy. Not as interesting to me, add to that the direction of the story and I just didn't care to continue. I didn't have a problem with this book, not like many others seem to have, sure the thingies were disgusting, but they're meant to be, so... whatever. I just became bored with the story and seeing as I still had more than half to go, why bother?
Went as far as page 380 but could not finish. Just too nuts for me.
