Not my favorite of the King books I've read or reread. I have some issues suspending belief which doesn't work when reading horror.
The back story detailing the way the boys came together was great right up there with Stand By Me and It. King can write and do it well, it's just that sometimes his imagination and mine don't jibe and that's ok.

Mr. Grey wasn't real, he was just a figment of Jonesy's imagination and it was Jonesy giving into baser instincts the entire time? That doesn't work for me, I don't want the evil that men do in my horror/sci-fi mashups. This is a batsh*t crazy story but there are elements which are so reminiscent of The Body or even It that I happily overlooked some of the weaker parts.
