i am SO GLAD I READ THIS. I LOVE VAMPIRES. i’ve been saying that vampirism is the most queer and erotic trope in horror (or really any!) fiction and this proved me RIGHT. i absolutely adore hit novel dracula, but this honestly might have been in some ways better. need to read the vampire chronicles again because… influences are pretty clear. god i love you orgasm-blood drinking metaphor
