I flew through this and loved every second. Books with two timelines just always work so well for me and this was no exception. I do wish there were more chapters in the present day though. The summery lakeside setting was perfect and added to the romantic atmosphere of the story.

Persephone (Percy) and Sam complement each other so well and I really enjoyed seeing their friendship develop over the years and slowly become something more. I thought that the struggles Percy and Sam went through as they got older were really realistic and depicted in a really honest way. I just loved them together.

The big reveal the book was building up to, the reason Percy and Sam haven't spoken in 12 years, was what I expected but I didn't dislike it. I did think that it was glossed over very quickly in the present day timeline though.

Cute summer teen love story. Ending was kind of meh and cringey.

I’m conflicted. This was messy and I did not agree with some things but I simply could not put this down. I was hooked

Enjoyed the reading experience immensely. Carley knows how to write where I feel like I am THERE. The ending was a shock, so I can't knock it, but as far as the actual character development, I really wish it hadn't happened. The vibes were so good for the rest of the book though, I probably will read again!
