This was definitely fascinating, and full of weird medical moments in history. Not all of them were mysteries, per se, but they were still fun to listen to! I wouldn't say it's top of my list of science/medical books, but still worth a listen if you read a lot of the genre.

fun, well written, and informative. i immediately looked to see if the author had anything similar written but was disappointed to find they had not, which is a sign of a good book imo.
This was a thoroughly entertaining volume roughly divided up by theme. I wish there'd been a bit of an epilogue since the book ends quite abruptly, but as long as you know you'll be getting several short stories with a little transition, you should be fine. Everything is carefully sourced, and Morris does weigh in occasionally about whether the stories should be taken with a grain of salt (or outright ignored).
