If you enjoy The Song of Achilles and Circe you will enjoy this. I do wish this book was a bit longer and had kore detail, but was a good retelling. Again, understanding why it was short, but wish it was longer.

I really enjoyed this book and getting to read a different telling of Medusa's story. I thought the way the author put compassion and care into Medusa causes you to look at her story differently. Also liked the spin on Perseus who did a sacrificial killing of Medusa instead of the story we've always been told.

I would highly recommend everyone read this book!!

The pacing was weird, where some parts felt glossed over but some parts were given more focus than I felt they needed. It was okay but nothing that sets it apart from the rest of the Greek mythology retelling crowd. The best part was the final couple of chapters
as I enjoyed the conversation between Medusa and Perseus - it was an interesting take on their confrontation and I like that Medusa was empowered in her death.
