If you love romance, do not sleep on this book. What a story!

I loved all the characters and the plot was incredibly gripping. The interactions between Ashna and her mom were so intense and realistic and I adored Rico. I loved that the story wasn't just about Ashna and Rico but really delved into the mom's past. Can't wait to read more from this author.

I did not enjoy this one. The characters seemed shallowly drawn and were melodramatic without feeling authentic. I did not find myself rooting for any of them.

This was a big improvement on the first in this series, which I did enjoy. It was a little hornier and the relationship between Rico and Ashna was better developed. It also  dealt with some pretty serious topics in a way that felt respectful but also not too heavy. Still, some people may want a content warning.

I love all of Dev's books, but I think this one may be my favorite because it touches on anxiety in such a honest and realistic way.
