And I am done with another Alex Rider novel. Should I be joyously running around the house (as this book was as good as its predecessors) or be crying (because now there are only two more to go in the series? I don't have the answer.

Anthony Horowitz has created a world which, although far-fetched, is gripping and enthralling. I mean, come on, do any of us EVER think that a fourteen-year-old can survive through everything that Alex Rider has gone through? No. Not in a million years. Nobody has a luck like this, right? But reading the series you get a feeling that anything is possible, that anyone can really be anyone and anything they wish to be.

Another thing I LOVE about the books is that the way Horowitz describes the crazy things that Alex does. It's as if Horowitz has actually base-jumped or rafted through rapids in a makeshift canoe. The feelings that Alex has at those points are so believable, if you know what I mean. Either Horowitz has actually base-jumped or is a really good researcher. Talking about research you can just see reading this series how well-thought-out and well-researched it is. If an author puts ral time and thought in his writing it is clearly visible and gives a kind of special aura to the book.

Another favorite of mine in the series. Great emotional and physical conflicts, twists and turns with a satisfying conclusion.

If we ignore the brownface, this was a genuinely good book.
