This does a lot of things really well, but wasn't perfect. I love the art and the rep. At moments heavy themes are lightened by the silly nature of the bad guy. I think for the age category, it's great climate fiction, but I found it a bit rushed at times and it jumped around too much in a confusing way.

The clones aspect was kinda cool, but as the dad points out, real messed up. Literally resurrected their 18 day old daughter to age to 11 and save the world or die trying? And only one being raised for a possible flooding makes zero sense when they decided to put the vault on a literal island off the California coastline. Why not put it on a mountain in the middle of the country so there'd be no chance of flooding in the first place? Not a place that we KNOW is at risk of flooding? And the kid somehow gets across the US on FOOT and train with a few strawberries as food? Do you know how long that would take? and where did the fresh food come from in the first place?
